A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Jan Quiter who is our GM at the Staybridge
Suites in Kalamazoo, MI. Jan was recently named as General Manager of the Year for the entire Staybridge Suites Brand!!
- a remarkable accomplisment and very well deserved for Jan. The property is also a Torchbearer Award winner - congratulations
to Jan and her whole staff on a fantastic performance!!
We also purchased the 284 room Kings Island Resort and Conference Center in Mason, OH in 2009 - which
is just down the street from............ you guessed it - The Kings Island theme park. We were able to get
in and renovate more than 80 rooms and upgraded many other items there as well. We have buses to shuttle you to and
from the park so you don't have to fight the parking there. Last summer went well and the property has received
a lot of positive comments on all the new improvements that have been put in place and now it's June and roller coaster
time!!
We also have an upcoming project in Port Huron, MI for the development of a Holiday Inn Express - plans
are ready now and we are exploring financing options.
We have new projects in the development phase in OH, MI, WI, LA, KY, AL, & FL.
As most of us have seen and experienced the lending climate has been very "challenging" in these times.
While that does not directly affect our in-progress and financed projects it has had an effect on the availability of
financing for upcoming projects.
